Dalian Post Office Customs seized 23 endangered wildlife products

       On October 16, after identification, Dalian Post Office customs officers seized 23 animal bone products in the incoming mail were whale teeth, hippopotamus teeth and black coral products。
 
  Earlier, in the process of monitoring incoming mail, customs officers found a suspicious mail from Japan with the name of the declared item "PVC, engraving material"。After the on-site unpacking inspection, the mail contained a variety of animal and plant products, Dalian Post Office customs immediately seized the mail。The mail, identified by a professional body, contained 203 grams of cetacean teeth, 149 grams of black coral bones, and 53 grams of hippo teeth, totaling 405 grams。According to the relevant provisions of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, cetaceans, black corals and river horses are listed in Appendix I or Appendix II of the Convention, and the species and their products are prohibited or controlled for international trade。
 
 
  Dalian Post Office Customs reminder: In accordance with the People's Republic of China Wildlife Protection Law, the People's Republic of China Endangered Wildlife Import and export Management Regulations and other relevant provisions,Mailing endangered wild animals and plants and their products into and out of the country,The import and export permit certificate issued by the national Administration for the import and export of endangered species must be obtained,Do not send endangered wild animals and plants and their products to or from the border,Avoid breaking the law。
